Ashoka builds and cultivates a community of change leaders who see that the world now requires everyone to be a changemaker. Together, we collaborate to transform institutions and cultures worldwide so they support changemaking for the good of society.[1]

Overview

Since its foundation in 1981, Ashoka Network has spread to 95 countries, employs more than 300 people and engages with +3500 Ashoka Fellows.

Ashoka empowers citizens to contribute to change in positive ways.

Ashoka identifies and supports the world's leading social entrepreneurs, learns from the patterns in their innovations, and mobilizes a global community that embraces these new frameworks to build an "everyone a changemaker world."[2]

Purpose of Ashoka Network

Three main focuses of Ashoka are:

  • Social Entrepreneurship: selecting world-class social entrepreneurs
  • Empathy and Young Changemaking: transforming how young people grow, so they can have the power to lead
